  • Can a NIMP15 treated palette present traces of colour or mould?

Yes, treating a palette according to the rule, NIMP15 does not include drying, and only vacuum drying can guarantee that blue stains and mould won't set in. According to rule NIMP15, wood that already presents traces of blue stains or mould can still be treated.

  • Is it possible to remove insects from a NIMP15 treated palette?

Yes, treatment is swift and definitive in terms of organisms inhabiting the wood in a living state and continuing to develop in there. However, the effect is not permanent, and xylophagous insects could return to the wood after it has been treated and put into storage.
